Executive Assistant

Overview
  • Epic Church is looking for an Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support, ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the church’s executive pastors. This role requires a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual who can manage complex calendars, coordinate communication, and assist with the logistical needs of the team.
  • The Executive Assistant must exhibit strong discretion, integrity, and professionalism, supporting the pastoral team in their mission to serve the church and community. This position also requires the ability to work with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure that the church’s strategic goals are met.
Responsibilities 

Administrative Support:

  • Manage and maintain calendars, ensuring timely scheduling and coordination of meetings, appointments, and events.
  • Prepare and organize documents, agendas, and presentations for meetings, including taking minutes and tracking action items.
  • Oversee communication with church staff, leadership teams, and external partners, ensuring timely responses and follow-up.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, lodging, and itineraries.

Event and Meeting Coordination:

  • Assist in planning and executing key church events.
  • Organize and coordinate logistics for leadership meetings, including preparation of meeting materials and post-meeting follow-up.

Project Management:

  • Support strategic initiatives and special projects by providing logistical and administrative oversight.
  • Track progress on key initiatives, maintaining deadlines and helping the team stay on schedule.

Confidentiality & Communication:

  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Act as a liaison between the Executive Pastoral Team and church staff, ministry leaders, congregation, and external partners.
  • Foster effective communication between the pastoral team and staff.

Resource Management:

  • Manage and track resources (e.g., office supplies, event materials) to ensure that the team is well-equipped.
  • Help manage budgets for pastoral-related expenses and assist with expense reports.

General Office Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations including filing, organizing documents, and maintaining office equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in preparing materials for board meetings, church events, and other organizational gatherings.

Children's Ministry Director/Pastor

Overview

Epic Church is a dynamic and growing church in the heart of San Francisco, currently serving a vibrant congregation of 1,000 people in Sunday attendance. We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and visionary Children’s Ministry Director/Pastor who is committed to nurturing the faith of the next generation. The Children’s Ministry Director/Pastor will oversee the growth and development of children’s ministry programs for children from infancy to 5th grade, creating an environment where children can experience God’s love, learn biblical truths, and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Responsibilities 
  • Vision & Leadership:
    • Lead and develop the overall vision and strategy for the kids ministry in alignment with Epic Church’s mission and values.
    • Cultivate a dynamic, safe, and engaging ministry where children can grow in their faith.
    • Provide spiritual and administrative leadership for kids ministry volunteers and staff.
    • Champion the importance of children’s ministry within the church community.
  • Program Development & Curriculum:
    • Design and implement age-appropriate biblical teaching and programs for infants through 5th grade.
    • Select and manage curriculum that fosters biblical literacy, creativity, and spiritual formation.
    • Regularly assess and refine the programs to ensure they meet the needs of children, parents, and volunteers.
    • Oversee the scheduling of classes, special events, and seasonal activities such as Egg Hunt and kids camps.
  • Volunteer Recruitment & Training:
    • Recruit, train, and empower a diverse team of volunteers to serve in various roles within the kids ministry.
    • Develop and implement ongoing training for volunteers to foster a culture of excellence, safety, and love for children.
    • Provide consistent support and encouragement to volunteers, ensuring a positive and effective serving experience.
  • Safety & Environment:
    • Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children.
    • Maintain child protection policies, safety protocols, and secure check-in/check-out procedures.
    • Work with staff to ensure all spaces are properly equipped and visually engaging for children.
  • Parental Engagement & Communication:
    • Partner with parents and families to support their spiritual growth and involvement in the church community.
    • Communicate regularly with parents through email, social media, and in-person meetings about ministry updates, events, and opportunities.
    • Provide resources and guidance to parents to help them nurture their children’s faith at home.
  • Administrative & Organizational Responsibilities:
    • Manage kids ministry budget and resources.
    • Track and report ministry metrics (attendance, volunteer participation, etc.) to leadership.
    • Coordinate with the church staff and other ministry leaders to ensure a seamless experience for families at Epic Church.
Qualifications  
  • Strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a passion for working with children and families.
  • Experience in children’s ministry leadership, preferably in a large church setting (3+ years).
  • Active participation in the Epic community (growing spiritually, groups, service, giving, inviting others)
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead, and develop volunteers.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Creative, energetic, and adaptable with a heart for reaching and discipling children.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with child development and best practices for children’s ministry.
  • A degree in ministry, education, or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Communications Director (PT/FT)

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Communications Director to lead and execute our marketing and communications efforts with excellence and integrity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels in team leadership, strategic marketing, and digital content creation.

Responsibilities 
  • Leadership & Strategy:
    • Provide strategic direction and oversight for all church communications and marketing initiatives.
    • Supervise and lead the Communications Staff Team and Volunteer Creative Team to ensure alignment with Epic Church’s mission and vision.
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies for ministry highlights and campaigns.
  • Content Creation & Brand Management:
    • Oversee strategy for video storytelling, including videography, graphic design, and app-related content.
    • Oversee the creation of high-quality digital content (photography, art direction, and graphic design).
    • Maintain brand consistency across all digital and printed materials within various ministries.
    • Provide art direction and feedback to ensure compelling and cohesive visual communication.
  • Marketing & Digital Engagement:
    • Develop and execute marketing strategies for digital and print campaigns.
    • Manage Google Organic & Paid Search, website SEO, and all digital marketing efforts.
    • Oversee social media, MailChimp/newsletter campaigns, website updates, text campaigns, and other digital platforms.
    • Coordinate communication through channels such as Welcome & Offering, social media, screen rotations, Next Steps, Epic Church App, YouVersion, website, mailers, and more.
  • Copywriting & Editing:
    • Ensure clarity, consistency, and engagement in all written content.
    • Manage website updates (weekly) to keep information relevant and accessible.
    • Oversee email communications via MailChimp/newsletter, setting direction, editing, and deployment (weekly).
    • Develop compelling copy for social media, campaigns, and promotional materials.
Qualifications

Proficiency in or willingness to learn relevant platforms, including:

  • Planning Center Online
  • Google Ads & Analytics
  • Adobe Illustrator/InDesign
  • Webflow
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A passion for storytelling and engaging digital audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
