‍Back-to-school: You might love it, or are wistful about the summer weeks long-gone. I appreciate the return to more regular schedules, the organization, and, okay, I’ll admit it…I like fresh new school supplies, especially when I score deals on binders!

Both you and your kids can build hope and anticipation as you consider what you want out of the school year ahead. We’ve all discovered that learning doesn’t need to be restricted to a traditional classroom, and that positive relationships between students and teachers can enhance all types of learning.

I’d encourage you to set goals for and with your kids this school year – write them down and check on them periodically. What are their next steps physically, academically, emotionally, and spiritually? You’ll be blown away by how God holistically grows them over this year! 

I believe that our spiritual selves drive our lives, so this season is a great time to refresh strong spiritual practices. Are you intentionally discipling your kids in their faith? One place to start is rallying around three words that can change your child’s future: belong, believe, become.

Since Epic Church is dedicated to partnering with parents to help kids orient their entire lives around Jesus, these three words resonate, and help to shape what we are building together: a local church where children belong, believe, and become, forming a lasting, resilient faith in Jesus Christ.

‍We invite your family into this resilient faith partnership! Are you all in? If so, Epic Church is open to partnering with you–we only ask you to do your part: champion our children’s ministry and embrace your influence.

• Offer your child informal discipleship, living out Deuteronomy 6:7 in your everyday life where you have the most sway. 
• Support the formal discipleship of your child by regularly attending Epic Kids classes, where kids are developing scriptural foundations of belief while belonging to a community of peers.
• Become for your child the Christ-example of service, by determining where you can serve the church, and taking the next steps to join that team. 

‍On August 14, 2022, we will kick off the fall with our Promotion Sunday event for Epic Kids. Your kids will have a blast with their teachers and friends, engaging in a fun lesson specifically about families! Additionally, we will celebrate rising 1st, 4th, and 6th grade children as we promote them to their new classes, and provide all children with a special gift from Epic!

Remember that what we are doing together is a partnership – Epic Kids isn’t childcare, we are a ministry founded on faith in Jesus and dedicated to helping children in our community belong, believe, and become so they form resilient faith in God, lasting into the future.
