When Shame Moves Out - Coming To Find You

Shame does it’s best work in the dark.

Shamed people, shame people. -Curt Thompson

Protection becomes more important than connection.

Shame says, “No one is coming to find you.”

Any attempt to resist being seen as weak, vulnerable or inadequate, is evidence of shame at work.

Jesus says, “I am coming to find you.”

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. -Luke 19:10

And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.

Delight disarms unworthiness.

We are harmed in community, and we are healed in community. -Curt Thompson

Christ centered community says, “We are coming to find you.”
